Smart in-camera graphics tools to allow a camera operator to easily change graphics on-the-fly so they are ready for anything: A clean live studio feed, logos/lower-thirds for multiple stations, or graphics appropriate for live social media deliveries.

The GY-HC900 is a unique and innovative broadcast camcorder that makes no compromises in image quality while offering a level of connectivity not found elsewhere. It features three 2/3-inch CMOS image sensors that deliver high sensitivity, low noise and wide dynamic range. It’s equipped with a new powerful communications engine that truly makes News-over-IP a reality with a streamlined ENG workflow that’s both reliable and cost effective. And it offers a comprehensive fiber solution for advanced EFP and studio installations.

The GY-HC900 makes news-over-IP a reality. It features built-in wireless LAN with dual external antennas, auto FTP, and streaming performance up to 20 Mbps, plus SMPTE 2022 forward error correction and Zixi™ error correction with automatic repeat request (ARQ) for reliable transmission. With bi-directional streaming and simultaneous decoding, you also get return video and IFB in the field for real-time communication with the station.

An integrated 3G-SDI pool feed input allows the GY-HC900 operator to capture video and stream it live simultaneously. And an IPX2 water resistant rating means your live shot doesn’t stop in challenging weather.

Equipped with an industry standard B4 lens mount and four-position optical filter, the GY-HC900 has three 2/3-inch CMOS sensors to produce full HD images with excellent sensitivity (F12 at 60Hz, F13 at 50Hz in extended mode). Record MPEG-2 at up to 35 Mbps, as well as H.264 (.MOV) and other native formats, to dual SDHC/SDXC media. The GY-HC900 offers redundant, relay, and backup recording modes, and records proxy resolution video clips for off-line editing or online posts. Need to produce some local ad spots? Get creative with an HDR mode and up to 120fps 1080p slow-motion recording.

For your MMJs, consider the GY-HM500 or GY-HM550 handheld streaming camcorders. They feature a 1-inch 4K CMOS imager and integrated 20x zoom lens. Record in a variety of native file formats and frame rates, including 10-bit ProRes 422 at 4K resolution and 50/60p frame rates. The GY-HM550 also supports MPEG-2 and MXF.

Record to economical SDHC/SDXC media cards for excellent results or SSD for uncompromised production quality recording. Both models offer reliable 1080p live streaming for live reports from the field and efficient FTP, but the GY-HM550 adds dual external antennas with built-in wireless LAN, integrated GPS, and Zixi™ error correction with automatic repeat request (ARQ).

Back in the studio, use the GY-HC900ST studio/EFP camera to make the most of your newscast. Your anchors will look their best with three 2/3-inch CMOS sensors and 10-bit, full HD imagery. Plus, seamless integration with the JVC FS-900 camera module makes it easy to create an affordable fiber-based studio solution. The module connects directly to the camera and feeds 3G SDI signals, control, audio, sync, and intercom to the JVC Base Station. The GY-HC900ST also features bi-directional streaming and simultaneous decoding for return video and IFB, so you don’t need a separate IFB system. Plus, get all the advantages of a camcorder, including dual SDHC/SDXC media ports for on-board recording and XLR audio inputs, so your studio cameras can double as production and even field cameras.
